 We welcome you to the Town of Thomaston and appreciate your interest in doing business in our Town. The Town of Thomaston requires every person engaged or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession, in whole or in part, within the corporate limits of this town to obtain a business license. The business license fee is based on the Class Rate associated with the NAICS. All general contractors, plumbers, electricians & HVAC contractors must present a state license before a business license will be issued. The business license year begins January 1st and expires December 31st for all businesses. For business proposing to operate their business temporarily in town and do not have a permanent location, a temporary use permit is required (i.e. Christmas tree sales, fireworks stands, mobile food vendors, etc.).
